Contact
SMIFR Conference is a year-round professional community for fire and rescue communicators. Questions about your information, moderation or account: info@firerescuesocial.com.
Information you provide
The apps use your SMIFR website account. Account information includes your email and user identifier. You may provide your name, professional role, agency and biography; posts, replies, private messages, meetup details, notes and feedback. On iOS, you may attach selected photos to session notes.
How information is used
Information supports account access, professional networking, conference planning, private messages, meetups, notes, feedback and community safety. The iOS app also records interactions such as sign-in and feature use to support conference administration. The apps contain no advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
Who can see it
Visible professional profiles and community posts or replies may be seen by other signed-in members. Your private messages are available to their participants; session notes are associated with your account. Authorized service administrators can access records to operate the service and handle safety concerns. Avoid sharing patient information, confidential agency details or information you lack permission to disclose.
Service and security
The apps use the SMIFR Lovable Cloud backend, built on Supabase infrastructure, for authentication and data storage. Network requests use HTTPS. Sign-in tokens are stored using iOS Keychain or Android Keystore protection. Your account and shared community content are also used by the SMIFR website. The iOS app may store a notification token associated with your account to support conference alerts.
Retention and deletion
Account and community data remain in the active service while your account is in use or until you delete them. Account deletion removes your authentication identity, member profile, your posts and replies, connections, messages involving your account, meetups, notes, device tokens and your reports, feedback and activity records. Copies may remain in service-provider backups until those backups expire under the provider’s retention settings. Conference registration, payment and other separately submitted website records are handled separately; contact the organizing team to request deletion or ask about records that must be retained.
Your choices
You can browse conference information without signing in. You can edit your profile, delete your own community posts, report content and block members. Profile visibility follows your SMIFR website profile setting. Sign out to clear member data cached in the app.
Account deletion
In the app, open More and choose Delete Account, then confirm permanent deletion. This applies to your shared SMIFR website and app account. You can also request deletion without the app by emailing info@firerescuesocial.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject SMIFR Account Deletion. Do not send your password. The organizing team may need to verify account ownership.
Community standards
Use the community for professional questions, collaboration and agency successes. Harassment, threats, hateful or sexually explicit content, exploitation, spam and unauthorized disclosure of personal or patient information are prohibited. Use Report or Block in a conversation for concerns; urgent safety matters should go to appropriate emergency services. Contact the organizing team for moderation assistance.
